THE ASSOCIATION
Since 1982 TSEDEK has been working to support underprivileged children by organizing many activities that bring them joy and self-confidence
ORIGIN OF TSEDEK
In a society where one in three children lives in poverty, where immigrant families struggle to integrate, and where family breakdown is increasingly common, TSEDEK is building a better future for Israel’s underprivileged children.
The TSEDEK Association was founded in 1982 by Chief Rabbi Paul Roitman. Fighting in the French Resistance during World War II, he helped rebuild the Jewish community in Paris in the 1950s. When he moved to Israel, he discovered the difficult situation in which many children lived. He decided to create an association to help them.

“It is only when a society is founded on the principle of social justice that we understand why we live here.”
