Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Many children from broken or disadvantaged homes do not celebrate their bar or bat mitzvah because of ignorance, negligence or insufficient resources.

The bar mitzvah program, a yearlong educational project, includes multiple preparatory activities. It culminates in a day of collective and solemn celebrations for the bar/bat mitsva

The celebration of a bar or bat mitzvah is an especially important event for these kids who do not grow in a typical family environment. It is a way for them to reconnect with their roots by connecting to Jewish traditions and values.

This program is generously supported by individuals and communities who contribute towards the ceremony, the acquisition of tefilin, talit, kippa and a personal gift that each child receives.
