Educational and Recreational Activities

Israel, school ends early in the afternoon. When two parents are working all day for minimum wage, they cannot afford extra-curricular activities for their children, who are left to their own devices and wander the streets. They are then confronted with violence, drugs and delinquency problems…

Tsedek takes care of these children by organizing educational and recreational activities. The children are supervised by qualified volunteer counselors, who bring them warmth and comfort. When school ends, these children go to the Tsedek center where they can have a hot meal and help with their homework. The educational and recreational activities start afterwards.
